BOWQC will offer a one-week intensive training program in Baroque opera for singers, continuo players, and string players
culminating in a performance of scenes from Virgil's Aeneid set by Henry Purcell and Francesco Cavalli.


Classes include:

•  Daily masterclasses and coachings in Baroque vocal style with Julianne Baird, Drew Minter and Christina Kay

•  Daily classes in stage gesture and theatre craft for opera singers - Guillaume Bernardi

•   Historical Dance with Dorothy Olsson

•  Study of Baroque repertoire and ornamentation for strings with Dongmyung Ahn, violin; also offered is viola da gamba & cello

•   Improvisation for players of basso continuo based on 16th and 17th century sources for Baroque harp, with Christa Patton, Baroque keyboards with Ben Katz and theorbo & Baroque guitar

¨   Daily music rehearsals with full continuo led by Music Director, Christa Patton


TUITION: • Singers: $710 • Strings and continuo instruments $610 • Auditors: $60 per day

HOUSING: On-campus housing: $75 per night
